Powers Swimming offers private lesson.. Babies who can crawl — generally around 6 months – learn to hold their breath underwater, turn onto their back to float, rest and breathe. Children who can walk – learn to hold their breath under water, swim with their head down and eyes open, turn onto their back to float, rest and breathe, and roll back over to resume swimming until they reach the side of the pool and can crawl out.
